Calcite is a mineral that forms mostly in limestone deposits and caves, and can exhibit a wide range of colors depending on the impurities and trace elements it absorbs from the surrounding area. Pistachio calcite derives its pale green to blue-green color from chlorine inclusions, and it can also contain bands of brown aragonite.
