Cinnabite is the trade name for scapolite, a calcium-based mineral, that contains inclusions of thulite or pink epidote. Scapolite is most commonly found alongside metamorphic rocks, but can also occur with limestone or mafic igneous deposits. Cinnabite derives its name from its pink inclusions, which look similar to cinnabar.
