Septarian calcite formed when small marine animals died in volcanic eruptions millions of years ago. After sinking to the ocean floor and decomposing, they accumulated in layers of sediment, forming balls or nodules. Eventually, when exposed to air, these nodules dried out and cracked, and calcite deposits formed inside these cracks in distinct swirls and branching patterns.

Handmade items vary in size, shape, and color when selected randomly (the highest quality items are chosen first). They'll be as beautiful as those in the photos.
