Titanium Aura Quartz is a stunning, artificially enhanced variety of quartz that displays a vibrant metallic rainbow sheen. This effect is achieved through a high-temperature vapor deposition process that bonds titanium and other metal oxides to the surface of quartz, creating an iridescent, multi-colored finish. Quartz crystals are placed in a vacuum chamber and exposed to titanium vapor at extremely high temperatures (800-900°F or 427-482°C). The titanium permanently fuses to the surface, forming a thin, metallic, iridescent layer that shifts colors depending on the angle of light. It creates a permanent surface treatment, meaning the color does not fade or wear off under normal conditions.
