Quartz is one of the most common minerals found in the Earth's crust, and takes on a variety of colors depending on the other minerals and trace elements that are included as it forms and grows. Much like golden healer quartz, this stone derives its color from the iron ore limonite. In this case, the limonite bonds with the crystalline structure of the quartz instead of staining it, resulting in a more even color.
