Unicorn stone is the trade name for a kind of pegmatite, a coarse igneous rock formation of interlocking crystals similar to granite. Unicorn stone usually includes a combination of lepidolite, pink feldspar, smokey quartz, and occasionally small amounts of pink tourmaline or mica. The largest deposits of unicorn stone are found in Madagascar, but it can also be found in smaller amounts in Brazil and the United States.
