Cleavelandite is a white to pale-colored variety of albite, a sodium-rich member of the feldspar mineral group. It commonly forms in granite pegmatites, where mineral-rich magma cools slowly and allows large crystals to develop. Its distinctive appearance comes from thin, bladed crystal formations that often grow in radiating clusters or layered aggregates. Cleavelandite is frequently found alongside minerals such as tourmaline, quartz, lepidolite, and beryl.
