By heating these natural amethyst druzy to over 1600 degrees F in a vacuum and adding titanium, niobium and gold vapor, the metallic atoms fuse to the crystals' surface, which give the crystals a rainbow metallic sheen. This process does not alter the natural makeup or structure of the crystals and this treatment is permanent.
